Pork with Sengmora

  Spiny arum (scientific name : lasia spinosa) is known as sengmora in Assamese . Sengmora is a green leafy vegetable found mostly on wild are rich in dietary fiber and antioxidant. These leaves has a little bitter taste but it goes well when cooked with pork and fish. Today I'm going to share a simple recipe where I cooked sengmora with pork. Chicken 65 is one of the popular dishes of South Indian cuisine.  Chicken 65 is a spicy, deep fried tasty chicken delicacy, originated in Chennai, India. It was first introduced in 1965 by the Buhari Hotel Restaurant in Chennai. Boneless pieces of chicken are marinated with different spices, flour and curry leaves and thereafter deep fried in oil. Chicken 65 can be served as dry or as gravy. For gravy, the flour coated chicken pieces are again sauteed into a spicy curd gravy. Whenever I visit any ethnic food festival in Assam, the food that mostly attracts me are the smoked pork sticks and local liquor. The smoked pork sticks looks so tempting that every visitors stopped at least once near the fireplace to have a glance of it. But I find those pork sticks little dirty and unhygienic and prefer to eat homemade one.  Last Friday I visited one of such ethnic food festival and after having a look into those pork sticks, came back home and decided to cook it at home on the new year's eve. Simple chicken curry

This is a very simple chicken curry  recipe which I often cook at home. My kids love this chicken curry. Anybody can cook this chicken curry because  very few ingredients are required and very easy to cook. So here I am sharing this  recipe. Hope everyone like it.  Serve it as a side dish with steamed rice or roti.
